The Arts Society Harpenden Evenings
(originally Hedfas) was formed in 1990, and is a thriving society for those living in and around Harpenden in Hertfordshire. It is a member of The Arts Society which is one of the UK's leading voluntary arts education bodies. We promote knowledge for education, appreciation and study of the decorative and fine arts through lectures, study days, visits and tours. By joining The Arts Society you will have the opportunity to attend regular evening lectures by experts in their subjects, enjoy stimulating study days, tours and visits to museums, exhibitions and private houses, meet new friends with similar artistic interests and take part in a range of volunteer activities.
HADFAS  Harpenden Area Decorative and Fine Arts Society

HADFAS was formed in 1968. The Society continues to thrive with a loyal and committed membership. Its aims as set down by its NADFAS founder chairman, Patricia Fay, are to provide enjoyment and instruction by means of illustrated lectures and visits in all aspects of the decorative and fine arts, and in some small way help to preserve our national and local heritage.

The Society meets once a month on a Thursday morning at the Riverside Suite, Venue 360 Ltd, 20 Gypsy Lane, Luton, LU1 3JH. There are no meetings in April, August and December. Each meeting consists of a lecture on a wide range of art related topics given by an approved NADFAS lecturer.

Hertfordshire Visual Arts Forum
Herts Visual Arts is a volunteer-run organisation which promotes awareness of Hertfordshire artists. It offers artists, whether amateur or professional, a forum for sharing information and opportunities and offers them good fellowship and community.
Harpenden Photographic Society
Harpenden Photographic Society caters for all abilities - from beginner to the more advanced photographers.  We are a lively and growing club of around 50 active members.  Our meeting are held from September to June on the first and third Tuesday of each month.

Our varied programme gives members to chance to enjoy and improve their own photography, and to mix and chat with other likeminded enthusiasts.  Visiting speakers are drawn from well-known amateur and professional photographers and give members the opportunity to learn and be inspired by work of many different types and genres.
