Friends of the Nickey Line
Approximately 7 miles long, the Nickey Line footpath and cycle way in Hertfordshire is a former railway line (the Harpenden to Hemel Hempstead Railway).

The Nickey Line still links Harpenden, Redbourn and Hemel Hempstead but is used now by railway history enthusiasts, walkers and cyclists from many parts of the country. It was opened as a footpath /cycleway in 1985.

Friends of the Nickey Line work to encourage use of the Nickey Line by local users and visitors.
Friends of Alzey
We are a group of people who meet to broaden the friendship between Harpenden and Alzey in Germany, Harpenden's twin town. If you have an interest in Germany, we have a number of events to suit you. Throughout the year, we have a mixture of social and fundraising activities. We also hold monthly conversation evenings to give German speakers of all abilities the chance to practise the language.

Friends of Cosne
Harpenden Sky
The Harpenden Campaign For Air Traffic Reduction. An increasing number of Harpenden residents and their families are victims of the noise, safety risk, environmental impact, intrusion of privacy, stress and property devaluation caused by aircraft overflights and it is likely to get worse.

Harpenden Ladies Circle
Circle is a fantastic club for women aged 18 - 45 who want to make new friends, have lots of fun and do some fundraising along the way!
Circle offers a fun packed diary of social events throughout the year, over the last year we have gone on:

    got fit doing Zumba
    had Pimms and Puddings
    learnt some Self Defence moves
    made some very artistic pottery
    went Bowling
had a talk on make up and beauty
We also enjoy nights at the local pubs and restaurants, a few of us enjoy a weekend away each year, some times abroad and other times a weekend in the country.
